Midwest Women's Cycling Made Real |
Midwest Women's Cycling Made Real is a grassroots program designed to introduce more women to the fun of road racing. If you enjoy riding and are looking for a little competition in a fun, supportive environment, the MWCMR is for you! We'll teach you what you need to know to get started racing!
The MWCMR includes:
Education- A classroom and on-the-bike beginning racing clinic
- The clinic will cover everything you need to know, from how to train, to what to bring on race day to what to expect in your first race. You’ll also meet representatives from clubs around the Twin Cities that are welcoming to women. For beginner and intermediate racers, triathletes, endurance riders and cycling enthusiasts.
- Women's track night at the NSC Velodrome
Beginners’ Race Series- A series of seven women's Category 4 beginner races, which allow beginning women an opportunity to race against each other (separate from the more experienced Category 1/2/3 elite amateur field)
- Series leader's jersey
- Prizes for the top 10 series finishers
- Exclusive discounts to series participants from our sponsors
- Recognition of the series winner at the MCF year-end banquet
